What you get
- The missed-call calculator: a week, a month, a year
- The pay-for-itself math for any tool or hire
- How to get your real numbers in 10 minutes
01 / The missed-call calculator
Your numbers. 30 seconds.
Nothing you type here gets sent anywhere. It's just math on your screen.
Example job values only. Your jobs will differ.
The ones nobody called back.
Your honest guess.
Look at your last 20 jobs.
A week
$1,080
A month
$4,680
A year
$56,160
The numbers already in the boxes are examples, not data. Swap in yours.
The math, if you want it on paper
Missed calls a week × (how many out of 10 would've booked ÷ 10) × average job value = lost a week. Times 52 for the year.
02 / Does the fix pay for itself?
If it takes one extra job a year, price isn't the question.
Take the yearly cost of any tool or hire and divide it by your average job value. That's how many extra jobs it has to win to pay for itself.
The tool, the service, or the hire. Monthly price × 12.
Extra jobs a year it has to win to pay for itself

If the answer is less than one, you already know. If it's 20, ask whoever's selling it how they'll get you 20.
03 / Your real numbers
Get your real numbers in 10 minutes.
Guessing is fine to start. Your call log is better.
- 01
Pull last week’s call log.
From your phone, or your carrier’s account page if the business line rings more than one phone.
- 02
Count the missed calls nobody called back.
Count the unknown numbers too. Spam is real. So is the roof job. You can’t tell from the number.
- 03
Average your last 20 jobs.
Add up what they paid and divide by 20. Use that for job value, not your best job ever.
- 04
Be honest about the booking guess.
How many of your answered calls turn into a job? Use that out of 10.
Number too big to sleep on? Start with the missed-call text and the 9 PM test.
